Veterans experiencing homelessness in Missoula now have a new place to call home, and as a Clearwater member, you helped make it possible.
The Poverello Center recently opened its new Housing Montana Heroes facility, featuring 16 private apartments for veterans transitioning out of homelessness. The new space offers greater privacy and independence while connecting veterans with case management, health care, employment resources, VA benefits, and other supportive services.
As a Clearwater member, you helped make this project possible. Working alongside the Poverello Center, Clearwater supported the project through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines’ Affordable Housing Program which awarded more than $2.27 million toward the development.
Housing Montana Heroes demonstrates what’s possible when organizations come together to address critical needs in our communities. For Clearwater, supporting Veteran’s housing is part of our commitment to using finance to create stronger, more inclusive communities.
