MISSOULA, Mont. – As part of its 70th anniversary celebration, Clearwater Credit Union has launched the 700 Acts of Service Challenge, a community-wide, volunteer initiative, encouraging Montanans to perform acts of service with select, local nonprofit organizations throughout May.

Through this initiative, Clearwater invites community members to complete acts of service at participating nonprofits across Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, and Missoula, working together toward a collective goal of completing 700 volunteer acts.

Participating nonprofit partners support a wide range of community needs, including food security, youth services, housing, environmental stewardship, and community development. Participating nonprofits are:

  • Bozeman: Befrienders, Eagle Mount Bozeman, Family Promise of Gallatin Valley, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, HRDC Bozeman
  • Butte: Butte Emergency Food Bank, Butte Rescue Mission, Mining City Trailriders, The Belmont Senior Center
  • Great Falls: Alliance for Youth, Family Promise of Great Falls, NeighborWorks, Opportunities Inc.
  • Missoula/Bitterroot Valley: Bitter Root Humane Society, Families First, Garden City Harvest, Home ReSource, Missoula Food Bank, RMHC of Western Montana, and Watson Children’s Shelter.

Throughout May, volunteers can participate in service opportunities hosted by these local nonprofits and then log their volunteer acts by scanning QR codes provided onsite. Participants who log acts of service are automatically entered for a chance to win campaign prizes, including seven, $700 cash prizes — each paired with a matching $700 donation to each winner’s Montana nonprofit of choice — as well as one Montana weekend getaway grand prize package. Each act of service completed and registered equals one drawing entry.

“This campaign is about continuing to create meaningful impact alongside our nonprofit partners and making volunteering more accessible across the communities we serve,” said Jack Lawson, Clearwater Credit Union President and CEO.

The campaign is part of Clearwater’s broader 70th anniversary celebration and reflects the credit union’s continued commitment to living its values and working hard to make a positive community impact.

The 700 Acts of Service Challenge runs through May 31. Community members interested in participating or finding volunteer opportunities can learn more at www.clearwatercreditunion.org/700Acts
