Your Clearwater Mastercard Debit Card is changing to a Visa Debit Card.
To improve operational efficiencies and better serve your debit card needs, we’re changing all Clearwater Debit Cards from Mastercard to Visa. This includes Personal, Business, and HSA Debit Cards.
Your debit card terms and conditions and our commitment to your security and satisfaction will stay exactly the same.
All new Visa Debit Cards reflect a new design that reflects Montana’s majestic scenery, as viewed through the lens of Montana-based photographer, Laura Verhaeghe.
You’ll receive a new, contactless Clearwater Visa Debit Card in the next few months. This means your card number, expiration date, security code, and PIN will all change.
We’ll reissue all debit cards between September 2025 and February 2026. We’ll notify you approximately one week in advance of your new card arriving by postal mail.
Please ensure that we have your current address on file so you receive your new debit card timely. Once your new debit card arrives, you’ll need to activate it and update your card information on file for any recurring or automatic payments.
We understand changing your debit card number effects any automatic or recurring payments you have set up with your current debit card information.
To make this change easier for you, we’ll use Visa’s Account Updater tool to automatically update your card information on file with thousands of participating merchants. Because the tool depends on participating merchants, it may not change every automatic or recurring payment you have automatically; however, it should help with many of them.
Once you receive your new card, we encourage you to verify that all your recurring or automatic payments have been updated with your new card info.
