Volunteers Across Montana Complete 301 Acts of Service
MISSOULA, MT. – Clearwater Credit Union is celebrating the impact made across Montana through its 700 Acts of Service Challenge, a month-long volunteer initiative held throughout May in honor of the credit union’s 70th anniversary.
Throughout the month, employees, members, nonprofit partners, and community members came together to support organizations and causes across the state, collectively completing 301 acts of service and logging 859 volunteer hours in communities throughout Montana.
Volunteer efforts supported a wide range of community needs, including packing food boxes, supporting housing initiatives and youth programs, and doing trail cleanups, general facilities maintenance, and more.
“At Clearwater, we’ve always believed in setting ambitious goals when it comes to serving our communities,” said Deborah Colby, Chief Marketing Officer at Clearwater Credit Union. “While we didn’t reach 700 acts of service during the month of May, the impact created through 301 acts of service and 859 hours of volunteerism is definitely worth celebrating. Every hour volunteered represented someone choosing to make their community stronger.”
Clearwater Credit Union also extended gratitude to the nonprofit organizations that partnered in the initiative by creating volunteer opportunities and welcoming community members throughout the month.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the nonprofit partners who opened their doors and continue to strengthen communities across Montana every day,” said Colby.
Clearwater also extended a special congratulations to the Bitter Root Humane Association, which benefited from the highest number of volunteer acts during the challenge.
The official 700 Acts of Service Challenge has concluded, and prize winners from the original challenge will be notified by June 10.
