Clearwater Credit Union Strengthens Fraud Protection with Executive Team Promotion

Brit DeVries - Senior VP of Payment Operations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MISSOULA, Mont. – Clearwater Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany DeVries to its Executive Team, effective January 1, 2026, where she will serve as Senior Vice President of Payment Operations. This appointment represents the first time Clearwater has established an Executive Team role dedicated specifically to payments strategy and fraud mitigation—areas in which DeVries has played a critical leadership role for several years. Her elevation to the Executive Team ensures these functions have a direct voice at the highest level of organizational decision-making.

DeVries is widely recognized as Clearwater’s resident expert in payments strategy and fraud mitigation. As financial fraud continues to grow in both sophistication and frequency, her leadership will play a critical role in strengthening protections for members while advancing Clearwater’s proactive approach to fraud prevention and education.

“Payment services and fraud prevention are critically important to our 67,000 members,” said Clearwater Credit Union CEO Jack Lawson. “Britt’s knowledge and experience in these areas will strengthen our executive decision-making. Meanwhile, her values-driven leadership skills support our culture and reflect our commitment to developing talent from within.”

Born and raised in Montana, DeVries brings both deep community roots and 16 years of dedicated service to Clearwater Credit Union. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles—including Teller, Member Service, Accounting, and Payments Management—developing a comprehensive understanding of the credit union’s operations while consistently demonstrating a commitment to Clearwater’s values-based banking principles.

Clearwater Credit Union is proud to recognize DeVries’ accomplishments and looks forward to the impact her leadership will have on members, employees, and the communities Clearwater serves.
