Bright future, here we come
Designed to help our youngest members build a bright financial future. From basic money concepts to teaching real-world skills, our youth accounts and resources can help you prepare for independence.
Youth Savings Account
Start building your financial future with a savings account that will help you work towards your financial goals. Once you open your account and become a member, we have additional resources available to help continue your savings journey and financial education.
- Checking and Credit privileges (with parent co-signer if under age 18)
- Youth Certificates
- SmartSaver Youth Certificate (with required education)
Youth Certificates
Start a saving habit now that will pay off later. To help you reach your goals we’ve lowered the opening deposit amount and allow funds to be added to help increase certificate savings.
When you open a certificate of deposit you set aside money for a set period of time and agree to not use it, in exchange we give you a guaranteed rate of return.
Youth Certificates
Reach your savings goals over time with a guaranteed rate.
Our youth certificates of deposit offer competitive rates to members under the age of 22, feature a lower opening deposit amount, and can be added to in $100 increments up to $500/month without changing your rate!
SmartSaver Certificate with Required Education
Earn competitive dividends that mature on your 18th birthday — before you can access those funds, you’ll need to complete a series of online courses to learn about budgeting, checking accounts, loan repayment, and credit cards.
There are two required online courses, Banzai Junior and Banzai Teen. SmartSavers need to complete all sections of each course and score 80% or better on each post-test.
Courses can be completed at any time up until certificate maturity, but we suggest starting Banzai Junior by age 12 and Banzai Teen by age 16.
