This year, we’ll award a total of $22,500 in scholarships, including:

  • Eight $2,500 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors.
  • One $2,500 scholarship in honor of William R. “Lefty” Campbell, a longtime Missoula County teacher and former Clearwater Board member. In recognition of his lifelong commitment to education, this scholarship is designated for a graduating high school senior pursuing a degree in education.
  • One $2,500 scholarship to a post-high-school adult learner who is preparing to enter or already enrolled in college.

Membership and other eligibility requirements apply. Please visit our Scholarships Page for more info.

The Clearwater Scholarship Program is for students who are just entering college or who are returning to school later in life.

Recent scholarship recipients highlighted the real-world impact of their Clearwater Scholarship and how their credit union helped them ignite their own potential through education support.

Hannah Lundi

Hannah Lundi, a student at Southern Oregon University studying early childhood education, plans to pursue a master’s degree in library sciences with the goal of becoming a school librarian. After completing a diversity internship at the Missoula Public Library, Hannah discovered a way to combine her love of books and working with children.

“Receiving this scholarship meant someone really took the time to read my essay and understand who I am and what I want to do,” Lundi shared. “That validation gave me the confidence to push myself even further,” Lundi stated.

Maizy Miller

Maizy Miller, a Division I rugby athlete at Princeton University, majoring in economics with a minor in global health, says Clearwater’s scholarship allowed her to fully focus on balancing academics and athletics without needing to take on a job.

“Being a D1 athlete is a huge time commitment,” Miller said. “This scholarship gives me the time to invest in my education, my sport, and my relationships — and that’s allowed me to truly thrive,” Miller stated.
