Community Impact & Charitable Giving

What does the Clearwater Foundation fund?

We are committed to donating 5% of Net Income each year. In 2023 we donated $564,000 to 185 organizations.

We strive to help organizations that make meaningful, lasting, and transformative change in three impact areas:

Empowering People

This impact area is focused on helping people solve problems and take advantage of opportunities. For example, vocational training, housing assistance, credit building, and transportation.

Building Inclusive Economies

This impact area is focused on interventions to include people in social and economic development. For example, affordable housing, community childcare, and economic development organizations.

Protecting the Environment

This impact area is focused on activities that promote environmental conservation and sustainability.

We will consider funding whatever you need to do your work. This includes sponsorships, specific projects, general operating funds, capital campaigns, and anything else that will help you have an impact.

Almost all of our philanthropy goes to organizations in the communities we serve. We do occasionally donate to organizations outside of this area, but it is rare.

What don’t we fund? In general, we do not fund:

  • Individuals
  • Youth sports
  • Electoral campaigns
  • Activities that don’t fit our mission and values.
