Winning recipients will be notified in early May. The 2027 Clearwater Scholarship Program will open in spring 2027. Stay tuned for more details.

How many scholarships are available?

There are nine scholarships totaling $22,500 available as follows:

  • One $2,500 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior pursuing a degree in education. This scholarship is in honor of William “Lefty” Campbell who was a Clearwater Board Member and longtime Missoula teacher.
  • Seven $2,500 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors pursuing any type of degree.
  • One $2,500 scholarship awarded to a post-high school adult learner who is either entering college or already enrolled in pursuing a degree.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for a scholarship:

  • Be a Clearwater Credit Union member for at least six months.
  • Be a 2026 graduating high school senior OR a post high school adult learner entering or already enrolled in pursuing a degree.
  • Have at least one transaction on any Clearwater deposit account within the last 60 days.

  • Complete the online application below by March 31, 2026, at 11.59pm.Complete an online Financial Wellness Checkup in Clearwater’s online Financial Education Center by March 31, 2026, at 11:59pm. Check-up results are for your information only and do NOT factor into scholarship consideration.

When will scholarship awards be announced?

Clearwater’s Scholarship Committee selects final recipients in early May. We’ll notify winners and appropriate high school officials by postal mail. The Committee’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
