Universal Associate - Bozeman, MT

We are accepting applications for a Universal Associate position in Bozeman, MT. This role is responsible for assisting members with all aspects of their financial needs. The role is all-encompassing and requires the Universal Associate to advise all members on account options, sales solutions, service transactions, consumer loans, self-service channels and high-level budgeting. The Universal Associate builds positive relationships with current and potential members and directly contributes to the success of the Credit Union’s strategic goals, by recognizing and detecting opportunities to build a deeper relationship with the member. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provides internal and external members with excellent service
  • Provides services to members in the following areas
    • Cash and Check Transactions
    • Opening New Accounts
    • Assist with Lending Functions
      • Fund Auto-decisioned Loans (non-collateral consumer Loans)
      • Refer members to appropriate lending department and set up appointments with loan officers
  • Protects members and credit union from fraudulent activities
  • Use financial services equipment to meet member need(s); help with general maintenance of equipment
  • Receive incoming phone calls; Make outgoing phone calls  
  • Work with multiple service channels to provide member satisfaction and education
    • Online Banking
    • Mobile Banking
    • Phone Banking
    • Card Services
    • ITM Operation
  • Advise on account options
    • Open and close accounts all types of accounts offered at the Credit Union
    • Maintain member accounts
    • Update member account records
    • Research and solve member account options and issues
    • Refer members to more in-depth credit counseling and resolution when needed
  • Advise on sales solutions
    • Educate members on products and services and refer based on individual member(s) needs
    • Knowledge of products and services, including staying up to date with changes and additions
  • Advise on service transactions
    • Empower members to process their own transactions
    • Process member transactions and other member requests
    • Manage ECR’s, ITM’s and ATM’s or any other self-service solution
    • Complete end-of-day balancing activities
  • Follows all credit union policies and procedures, including being compliant with state and federal laws and regulation 
  • Reliable attendance and completion of tasks 

 Applicants must be comfortable working in an open environment, have strong communications skills, be flexible, and be a team player. Additional requirements include; ability to provide exceptional service, multi-task, recognize needs and create solutions. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Business Loan Officer - Butte, MT

If you’re passionate about helping local businesses buy, build, or expand their operations and enjoy the impact of local underwriting and decision making, then Clearwater Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for you as a full-time Business Loan Officer in Butte, Montana. You’ll enjoy excellent benefits and a fantastic work environment, with locations across picturesque Rocky Mountain communities. 

The Business Loan Officer position is responsible for assisting business members with their commercial lending needs, being a resource of information for business members, and building stronger relationships in the business community. 

Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Helps drive a business development effort focused on portfolio growth
  • Interview business members, determining what their needs are, and obtaining all applicable financial and other relevant documentation to make an informed credit decision
  • Provide excellent service by managing expectations through good communication and timely loan closings
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and collateral evaluation
  • Structure and negotiate terms, analyze, and close loans
  • Manages a loan portfolio of business members that includes monitoring credit quality by analyzing updated financial information and ensuring that loan files are updated with all necessary documentation
  • Perform collections and workouts of troubled loans, as necessary
  • Stay informed of regulatory requirements and changes and other internal policies
  • Participate with local boards and volunteer for various community events

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of business lending experience, including time spent as a credit analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Self-motivated with strong sales abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong organizational time management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Consumer Loan Manager - Southside Branch

Clearwater Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Consumer Loan Manager to join our Consumer Lending team in Missoula, MT.  In this role, you will oversee and direct the lending activities of our Consumer Loan Officers, while guaranteeing exceptional service for our members.  Sound decision making skills and leadership capabilities are needed to guide in a proactive approach to lending and forward thinking.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Consumer Loan Officers, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
  • Meet with employees to deliver regular performance feedback and coaching sessions to help employees grow and succeed.
  • Compile and submit departmental reporting as needed.
  • Coordinate workflow and departmental schedules to maintain appropriate branch coverage.
  • Participate in your own personal production and growth opportunities.  
  • Work directly with the VP of Consumer Lending to drive both individual and overall production goals.
  • Help to maintain and support sound lending practices, keeping the needs of our members and our organization in mind.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for both credit union employees and members regarding the consumer lending process.
  • Travel to branches in various Clearwater markets as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. 
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement effective people, time, project, and organizational management practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, members, and vendors.

Consumer Loan Processor - Southside Branch

This role plays a vital part in ensuring loans are funded accurately, documents are processed efficiently, and collateral is secured properly. 

What You’ll Do

As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will:

  • Fund consumer loans and process required documentation.
  • File and perfect liens to ensure proper collateral security.
  • Complete consumer secured loan payoffs, including related insurance claims.
  • Process GAP, Mechanical Breakdown, DPW, and Debt Protection remittance and claims.
  • Conduct consumer loan document audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assign consumer loans and complete various lending reports.
  • Process notices, letters, and other loan-related correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support to Consumer Lenders.
  • Deliver excellent service to internal teams and external members by answering department-related questions professionally and promptly.

Because we respect you and your time, we will notify you if we do not select you for an interview.

Step 3: Interview

Typically, the hiring manager and a member of our People Solutions team will conduct your interview. Depending on your location, your interview may be in person or virtual.

During the interview, we’ll dive into your background, gain a better understanding of your skills, and assess your cultural fit. This step also includes more technical or job-specific questions so the hiring manager can assess your fit for the role.

This is also your time to ask your questions about the job so you can determine if the position, our company, and our culture are right for you.

In some cases, the hiring manager may want to complete a follow-up interview to help ensure they select the best candidate for their team.

Interview Questions That Get You Noticed

Step 4: Assessment or Task

Depending on the position, we may request you complete additional online assessments or a specific task associated with the position. These tools help the hiring manager to select the final candidate.

Step 5: Decision

Once the hiring manager reaches a decision, our People Solutions team will make you a job offer, which will include your proposed salary and an overview of our benefits package so you can make an informed decision.

If you accept, we ask most positions to begin employment within two to three weeks.
