Business Loan Officer - Butte, MT

If you’re passionate about helping local businesses buy, build, or expand their operations and enjoy the impact of local underwriting and decision making, then Clearwater Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for you as a full-time Business Loan Officer in Butte, Montana. You’ll enjoy excellent benefits and a fantastic work environment, with locations across picturesque Rocky Mountain communities. 

The Business Loan Officer position is responsible for assisting business members with their commercial lending needs, being a resource of information for business members, and building stronger relationships in the business community. 

Responsibilities/Skills

  • Helps drive a business development effort focused on portfolio growth
  • Interview business members, determining what their needs are, and obtaining all applicable financial and other relevant documentation to make an informed credit decision
  • Provide excellent service by managing expectations through good communication and timely loan closings
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and collateral evaluation
  • Structure and negotiate terms, analyze, and close loans
  • Manages a loan portfolio of business members that includes monitoring credit quality by analyzing updated financial information and ensuring that loan files are updated with all necessary documentation
  • Perform collections and workouts of troubled loans, as necessary
  • Stay informed of regulatory requirements and changes and other internal policies
  • Participate with local boards and volunteer for various community events

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of business lending experience, including time spent as a credit analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Self-motivated with strong sales abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong organizational time management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Payments Representative - Southside Branch

Are you looking for an impactful role that empowers you to help others and create a worthwhile impact on your local community? Clearwater Credit Union is now accepting applications for a Payments Representative position in Missoula, MT. This role provides both direct and indirect support to our members by processing transactions through a variety of channels, researching member issues, monitoring and preventing fraud, as well as assisting with our payment dispute process.

The payments representative position supports that mission by providing support on payments products including by not limited to: ACH, checks, wire transfers, debit and credit cards, mobile check deposit, bill pay, and Zelle. In this role you would process and reconcile payments to member accounts and the related general ledgers. 

You would personally live Clearwater’s mission and impact our local community by being a part of the team that monitors, identifies, and prevents fraudulent transactions that would take advantage and negatively affect the lives of our members. You would get to assist members directly by assisting them with questions relating to fraud, as well as disputes. In this role you would also get to use troubleshooting, researching, and problem-solving skills to resolve inquiries and issues with payment products. 

A successful applicant must be organized and be able to process quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy.  They would be detail-oriented with outstanding problem-solving skills, skilled in interpersonal communication and leadership, and have exceptional member service and telephone etiquette. They would also need the ability to make sound decisions, and to enjoy the mix of independent work and while also contributing to the team-oriented environment. 

Qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent as well as two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Contact Center Representative - Southside Branch

This in-branch Contact Center Representative position, located in Missoula, MT, provides direct member support with Audio, Video, Chat, and other delivery channels by completing transactions and requests and being a source of information for members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Skilled at answering Audio and Video calls 
  • Completes outbound phone calls
  • Comfortable and efficient using Chat
  • Provides personalized guidance to address all the member’s needs
  • Comfortable using multi-engagement channels to assist members
  • Responds to all incoming chats
  • Answers all emails from website and ones directed to Contact Center email addresses
  • Responds to all online banking messages
  • Solve member account problems
  • Update member records
  • Process member transactions and other member requests
  • Protects members and credit union from fraudulent activities
  • Proficient use of technology
  • Refer products and services based on identified member need
  • Knowledge of products and services, including staying up to date with changes and additions
  • Provide internal and external members with excellent service
  • Follows all credit union policies and procedures, including being compliant with state and federal laws and regulation
  • Reliable attendance and completion of tasks

Step 3: Interview

Typically, the hiring manager and a member of our People Solutions team will conduct your interview. Depending on your location, your interview may be in person or virtual.

During the interview, we’ll dive into your background, gain a better understanding of your skills, and assess your cultural fit. This step also includes more technical or job-specific questions so the hiring manager can assess your fit for the role.

This is also your time to ask your questions about the job so you can determine if the position, our company, and our culture are right for you.

In some cases, the hiring manager may want to complete a follow-up interview to help ensure they select the best candidate for their team.

Step 4: Assessment or Task

Depending on the position, we may request you complete additional online assessments or a specific task associated with the position. These tools help the hiring manager to select the final candidate.

Step 5: Decision

Once the hiring manager reaches a decision, our People Solutions team will make you a job offer, which will include your proposed salary and an overview of our benefits package so you can make an informed decision.

If you accept, we ask most positions to begin employment within two to three weeks.

Because we respect you and your time, we will notify you if you are not selected.
