What makes us different?
We believe everyone should have access to honest and impactful financial services. We work hard to ensure that we provide members with the right product or service to help them build a bright financial future. And if a member is facing financial hardship, we go the extra mile to provide support and financial education.
We're Committed to Transparency
As a member-owned banking cooperative, we think our members should be able to access our financials, annual reports, Strategic Plan, Environmental Management Plan, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Plan, and more whenever they want. That’s why we make all of these documents available on our website.
Investing in Local Communities
At Clearwater Credit Union, every swipe, deposit, and payment you make supports what you believe in — things like inclusiveness, sustainability, and a healthy local economy. We are committed to donating 5% of Net Income each year. In 2020 we donated $335,681 to 151 organizations.
Competitive on price. Competitive on product. Best on shared values.
We want everyone who’s touched by our work to be better equipped for tomorrow than they were yesterday. To that end, we’re living our values, redefining banking as a force for good, and working every day to build thriving sustainable communities.

I’m a sixth-generation Montanan and Clearwater Credit Union was the first bank account I ever got. Their commitment to the environment is important to me because the mountains are my home and the community is my home.— Domini
I grew up in Missoula and my very first bank account was with Clearwater. My family has banked with them for years. We chose Clearwater because we value local businesses and we value community building.— Nicole
I’ve been in Belgrade now for about 30 years and raised our kids there. Clearwater has been wonderful to work with because their values sync up with ours perfectly. They really have a vision of not only promoting renewable energy, but walking the walk by installing systems on their own buildings.— John
I was born and raised in Butte, Montana and have been here my whole life. As a local business owner, you understand the impact of supporting local, so it was a pretty easy decision to bank with Clearwater.— Matt
