Missoula Gives 2019
Want to help make a difference in your community? How about have a positive impact on the people and places you interact with each day? Be a part of Missoula and Ravalli Counties’ day of giving – an opportunity to unite our community and help nonprofit organizations connect to the larger community. We’re excited to be sponsoring Missoula Gives again this year and we need your help! Please join MFCU and the Missoula Community Foundation in raising a HALF MILLION DOLLARS!
What is Missoula Gives?
Missoula Gives is a powerful and growing online and in-person giving event organized by the Missoula Community Foundation (MissoulaCF) to grow philanthropy in Missoula County by connecting donors to the nonprofits that make our town so special.
Organizations that are verified 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits that are headquartered or provide services in Missoula can participate in Missoula Gives. Anyone may donate. Donations through the Missoula Gives online portal to charitable nonprofit organizations, are tax-deductible, and cannot be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit and debit card only. Donations will be received and receipted by GiveGab.
How does it work?
Visit MissoulaGives.org. Choose a charity, and donate. It’s simple. And, there is absolutely no risk, or out of pocket cost to any participating nonprofit. After registering online, all donations collected are deposited directly into each nonprofit’s bank account within 24-48 hours. A small percent of the donations brought in may be deducted to cover processing and administrative fees, although all donors have the opportunity to cover those costs (and most of them will) so that the charity realizes the full donation.
Get ready to give!
On May 2-3, starting at 5 pm on May 2, visit missoulagives.org and make a donation to any of the great participating nonprofit organizations in Missoula and Ravalli Counties. You will have 24 hours to make your donation. All giving will end at 8 pm on May 3.
Easy Ways to Help
Share and share-alike. Online days of giving are successful because of our own networks.
Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about Missoula Gives, and share your love for your particular passion, whether it’s education, health care, animals, or the arts. Ask others to do the same.
Donate Buzz Points. Have some Buzz Points you’ve been hoarding? If you donate your Buzz Points to any of the non-profits available on the Buzz Points app or website during Missoula Gives, we’ll make sure the dollar value of the points count towards the Missoula Gives total!
Become a fundraising champion. Everyone loves a champion, including us! The participating local non-profits really need fundraising champions to help drive people to their Missoula Gives profiles on May 2-3. Contact a participating non-profit you’d like to support for more information on how to become a fundraising champion!
