Annual Can the Cats Food Drive, uses friendly rivalry to help stock local food pantry shelves.
Together, let’s fight food insecurity in our communities during the 23rd Annual Can the Cats Canned Food Drive. Can the Cats is a friendly, off-field food drive competition between the UM/Missoula and MSU/Bozeman communities to see who can raise the most food and funds over the two-weeks leading up to the Griz-Cats football game.
This November 5-19, we’ll collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations at all branch locations during regular business hours.
Missoula and Stevensville donations will count towards the Can the Cats contest and support Missoula Food Bank & Community Center, UM Food Pantry, and Stevensville Pantry Partners.
Donations at our Butte and Great Falls locations will support the Butte Emergency Food Bank and the Great Falls Community Food Bank, respectively. While these donations will not count towards the Can the Cats contest, we invite community members to vote for the Griz or Cats by placing their nonperishable food items in their choice of team bins!
