2023 National Volunteer Week

Happy National Volunteer Week!

The Clearwater Credit Union origin story is rooted in people coming together to help each other. Then as is now, the belief that we can each make a difference is a sentiment shared by Clearwater team members, who in 2022 donated over 1,340 hours of volunteer time in their communities.

Each quarter, we recognize employees who give their time through Clearwater-coordinated or non-coordinated events that help the community. We had six individuals who excelled in volunteering in 2022.

Erika – Branch Manager: “I volunteer because I can help make our community a better place. Through volunteering, you see a different side of organizations, yourself, and the people you work with.”

Jen – Financial Services Officer: “I love that Clearwater not only supports us volunteering in our community but encourages us to do so.  Volunteerism is something that I was raised with, and I am very thankful to work for a company that allows me to serve my community where I can.”

Misty – Branch Manager: Misty is very active in providing free financial education to the Bitterroot Valley.

Jess – Branch Manager: “Nothing feels better than giving back to the community that I was born and raised in. It truly makes me feel like I belong here.”

Gwen – Director of Brand and Communication: “Lending my time, my skills, and my voice to causes and people I care about has taught me that no act is too small. Making an impact is not about the scale of your efforts. It’s about showing up, stepping up, and speaking out.”

Sara – Branch Manager: “I love that I work for an organization that provides paid volunteer time but also prioritizes getting out in the community and investing our time. I get to pick the organizations that matter to me and donate my time, which helps me feel connected to my community.”

Volunteering is one small act you can do to make a big difference in your community. If you’re interested in getting more involved but don’t know where to start, check out the resources below and get started today!
